Cheeky, In-Your-Face ‘New York Post’ Ads Dare You To Ignore Them

The New York Post has rolled out a series of cheeky and bold ads that dare viewers to ignore them.

For its ‘Made You Look’ campaign, ads emblazoned with attention-grabbing headlines like “A good headline kicks you in the eyeballs” and “If this were the Post, there’d be a body in the trunk” were placed on roving taxis and in subway trains.

Created by San Francisco-based creative agency Goodby, Silverstein & Partners New York, the in-your-face ads reflect the content of the newspaper.

“The goal of the campaign was to capture and reinforce, across print and digital, consumer and trade, our core strength: getting people to pay attention to what we do through our wit, our irreverence and our truly unique voice,” said CEO, publisher, Jesse Angelo.

The ads mark the New York Post’s first advertising effort in more than a decade, and were timed to leverage on growing readership figures in print and digital.
